MCYM, Malankara Catholic Youth Movement is an association of the young people of the globally spread Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, which focuses on the development of youth, church and society as well. The church gives much prominence to the youth and MCYM. Each and every eparchy counts MCYM as one of the most important spiritual groups, and works on their intellectual, social, cultural and political aspects to mould a better younger generation. Eparchy of Muvattupuzha also gives much importance to MCYM from its initial stages. The eparchy of Muvattupuzha comprises of the civil districts of Ernakulam, Thrissur and Palakkad in Kerala and Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, and Karur in Tamil Nadu.
